• rec.crafts.metalworking - Not actually a web site, but a USENET newsgroup. Granddaddy of the metalworking community on the Internet and the source that spawned the CAMS club. Well worth the effort of getting your newsreader set up so you can take part. Clicking on the link above may or may not start your newsreader depending on your system.

• Metalworking FAQ - Web site that contains lots of information compiled from the most frequently asked questions in the rec.crafts.metalworking newsgroup.

• Metal Web News - Web site with short articles related to the types of projects and problems that are encountered by those doing metalworking as a hobby or on a budget. Compiled from contributions from the community at large.

• Metalworking.com - Web site that provides the "dropbox" for pictures and binary files related to the rec.crafts.metalworking newsgroup. Also handy links to other clubs and web sites for learning about metalworking..

• Model Engineer Support Page - Web site dedicated to machining as related to building models. This UK site had lots of articles, links, and valuable information. Alas the original site is no more so here are two links to historical snapshots of it. Model Engineer Support at WayBack Machine and a private copy of Model Engineer Support from Japan. 

• Ernie's Massive Metal Links List - One of the largest and best collections of metalworking related links.

This is by no means an exhaustive list of web sites related to metalworking. It will not attempt to list new sites unless a new major web site resource evolves. These sites provide a wealth of links to the hundreds of other sites related to metalworking.
